Species native to the Caucasus, Iran, and the Near East, growing on calcareous scree and sunny rock gardens at altitude.
It forms a sub-shrub more developed than the previous cultivar, reaching 25 to 40 cm, with linear glaucous foliage and pale pink to deep pink flowers, slightly larger than those of other species in the genus, gathered in loose clusters from May to June.
Very ornamental, it is considered one of the most beautiful species in the genus. Same requirements: full sun, very well-drained calcareous soil, summer drought tolerated.
